Some has a strange picture of a very serious God, and they get condemned if they should release their childlike joy and have fun. It is interesting to see in the word of God that it is just upposite – he really want us to be happy and he is rejoicing over us! The last night Jesus was with his disciples before his suffering on Calvary, he is telling them this in John 15,11: “I have told you this so that my joy may be in you and that your joy may be complete.” Joy is one of the fruits of the Spirit according to Galatians 5,23-24 and David tells us in Psalm 16,11: “Where you are joy is complete; in your right hand there are pleasures for ever and ever.” The fullness of joy is to be close to God and Psalm 68,4 tells us: “May the righteous be glad and rejoice before God; may they be happy and joyful.”
What really excites me is that God also rejoices over you! Sephania 3,17: “He will be glad over you with joy, he will make his love new again, he will make a song of joy over you.” God is a God that is glad and full of joy!
Get in the presence of God to day! Release your own, rejoice over His love and let the joy take control over you! Shout hallelujah with joy, rejoice and be glad! Cast your cares on the Lord – he knows how to handle it and look up to your Savior with joy! When this becomes your lifestyle, the answers to your prayer requests will be pulled towards you according to Psalm 37,4, that explains it this way: “Delight yourself in the LORD and he will give you the desires of your heart.” When you rejoice in your Lord daily you become like a magnet and the desires of your heart will come to you!
